Traktor Kontrol F1-1 USER (in/out set to F1-1) Traktor Kontrol F1-2 Default (in/out set to F1-2) Traktor Kontrol F1-1 Deafault (in/out set to F1-1) The USER mode is easier to map since you don't have to use CC notes for every button etc.Īs I already said I would really prefer to use this USER mode instead of MIDI mode (mabye i'm just too lazy to do CC mapping in traktor again). Now when it's in USER mode (wich is an option only for the F1 I think) you can only turn 1 into USER mode at a time. Then no problem occurs at all, as long as the in/out ports of the controllers are set to the right controller. When the checkbox is set to MIDI mode (like all NI controllers can) you can switch both controllers to that MIDI mode (switch + browse on the F1). In the tab wich appears when connecting a F1 you can check a box for MIDI or USER mode as you may know. As long as they are in normal mode (the hardwired and not remappable remix deck mode). No NI did design them to even use 4 at the same time. I have "renamed" the controllers in controller editor to kontrol f1-1 and f1-2 just like I did when I had 3 X1's running my traktor. I will probably end up mapping everything manually with HSB values, but since Xtreme mapping for traktor doesn't respond to my mails that will be a pain in the **s. This problem doesn't happen when I set the controllers options to MIDI mode instead of User mode, but I really prefer to use the User mode, because its way faster and easier to map (don't really have the spare time to map every HSB button manually).ĭoes anyone know how to put 2 traktor F1 controllers in user mode simultaneously? It's not the input/ output routing of the controllers, when I set these on the right in/out ports they switch back to all ports in/out when I switch a controller to user mode. Pressing shift+browse on the other F1 when the first 1 is already in User mode results in switching the first 1 back to normal mode and the second 1 to user mode. However only 1 controller can be switched to user mode a time. No RGB midi out set up for the buttons yet, so if you make one, feel free to share it.I've got 2 traktor F1 units, wich can be turned into "User Mode" by pressing shift+browse. So if you look into the constant I’ve left in there, you can call any of your buttons or sliders in multiple ways. You could also switch it out for say a touchOSC list of inputs. This method gets powerful if you want to drop in a new midi device but have all your scripts/ops still work when you hit a different devices’ “b1” for example. Again, you’ll notice the f1 is referred to as “template” in this case. Any table you put in “modules” can be called using. Place “modules” in your /local on the same level as “maps” “midi” and “time”. I’ve also attached a COMP called “modules”. For example I get the same midi note triggered by the NI modifier buttons as the first row of launch buttons. When you go into TD, switch your f1 to midi mode by hitting “shift+browse”.Įven though it has a “midi mode”, the f1 is a “controller”, it’s NI programming can do some funky things. I had a problem with an effect mapping I’d left on. You’ll need to make sure you go into Traktor’s Controller Editor and use the default midi mapping. Place it in (/local/midi/userdevices) and it’d be a good idea for now to rename it to “template”. I have attached an f1 map, which had originally been named “template” in my network.
